The fountains of St. Petersburg will turn on on May 1

The administration of St. Petersburg announced the launch of city fountains. This year, from May 1 to May 10, 65 fountains (including three fountain complexes) will start operating in the city, most of them will be launched on May 1. Among the first, complexes will be included near the Winter Palace, Kazan Cathedral, Voronikhinskaya Lattice and in the park of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg.

The launch of some of the fountains was deliberately postponed until May 9 – their activation will be timed to coincide with the 76th anniversary of the Victory:

  • The main fountain of the Moscow Victory Park “Glory”
  • Fountain complex on Moskovskaya square
  • Fountain complex on Lenin Square
  • Fountains in the South Primorsky Victory Park
  • Fountain on Pavlovskaya Street in Kolpino
  • Fountain with light music on the Market Square in Peterhof
  • Fountain “Tic-Tac-Toe” in Svoboda Lane in Sestroretsk.

All fountains to be launched have already been commissioned.
