If your smartphone spends suspiciously large Internet traffic, you must immediately disconnect access to the network and turn off the device.

Alesya Borovikova, a representative of Roskachestvo, shared this advice in an interview with the Prime agency. She explained that during normal operation, smartphone applications transmit and receive a small amount of data in the background.

“All together, they do not consume so many megabytes of traffic, and in case of increased consumption, you should think about whether malware has got on your smartphone,” the expert says.

Antivirus programs don’t work well without the Internet. Therefore, after detecting suspicious activity, you should turn off the gadget, remove the SIM card, connect to a Wi-Fi network and check for viruses.

As we wrote earlier, the specialist shared his advice on how to read a message deleted by a user in WhatsApp.
