The interregional department of Rosprirodnadzor and the Volgograd interdistrict prosecutor’s office confirmed the fact of pollution. Experts have identified two owners of the vessel.
In relation to individuals, they drew up protocols on an administrative offense. The inaction of the owners of the sunken landing stage caused damage to the environment.
Experts took samples of water and bottom sediments in the Volgograd backwater to calculate the damage. As a result of the audit, it turned out that its size exceeded 82.4 million rubles. The calculation was carried out according to the methodology of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation.
The landing stage owners have been notified and must pay a fine. If this issue cannot be resolved voluntarily, the money will be collected in court.
