The preliminary amount of damage from the ice storm in Primorye amounted to 266 million rubles. The final amount will be announced after the completion of all restoration work. This was announced on Thursday, November 26, by the press service of the Primorsky Territory government.

According to the regional emergency response headquarters, the greatest damage was inflicted on energy facilities – the damage in this industry was more than 250 million rubles.

Freezing rain fell on Primorye on November 19. As a result, 67 socially significant objects and 181 thousand people in 73 settlements were left without electricity. On the morning of November 26, about 15 thousand people remain without light. The disaster left more than 48 thousand people without heat, more than 221 thousand residents of Vladivostok and Artem were left without water. A regional emergency regime was announced in the region.

Over 2.1 specialists, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, are involved in eliminating the consequences of the storm. Restoration work continues in the region. According to the website kp.ru, the government of the country will provide financial assistance in the amount of almost 700 million rubles to Primorye. It is also reported that deliveries of new generators, cables, insulators, tower cranes are expected to eliminate the consequences of the freezing rain.

On November 25, it was reported that the power supply in Vladivostok was fully restored. Repair work on the power line damaged by the typhoon on November 20 was carried out around the clock. Power engineers “dismantled the fallen ones and installed three new supports, replaced the wire, traverses and insulators”.
