Research and Production Association “Android Technology” and “Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works” (MMK) have previously agreed to work out the supply of medical robots to prevent the spread of coronavirus at MMK. This was reported on October 14 at the press service of the NGO.
Robotic systems allow disinfection of premises using ultraviolet lamps, TASS specifies. The enterprises intend to cooperate in solving and optimizing typical tasks of the work process at the plant.
This agreement was reached when the heads of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant and the Attraction project visited the production complex of NPO Androidnaya Tekhnika.
The heads of the enterprises, headed by the general director of MMK Pavel Shilyaev, examined the workshop for the production of Hephaestus robotic systems for people with disabilities, the Medbot line, and engines.
In August 2019, the Fyodor anthropomorphic robot manufactured by Android Technology and the Advanced Research Foundation was delivered to the ISS.
In July it became known that Fyodor, who had been in space, was being used to test technologies that would then be used in a new space robot.
