The coronavirus vaccine will enter the civilian circulation after the second batch is tested by Roszdravnadzor. This was announced on Tuesday, August 25, by the director of the Center. Gamalei Alexander Gunzburg.
He stressed in a conversation with Interfax that if the test is successful, then the vaccine will be in a sufficiently large number of regions, but did not name the exact number.
“Apparently, a fairly large percentage of the 145 million [граждан] wants to be vaccinated, ”suggested Gunzburg.
He added that by September 3, the vaccine must reach all centers where the study will be conducted. As a result, on the 4th or 5th, vaccination will begin directly, TASS reports.
Earlier on the same day, the Ministry of Health of Russia issued a permit to the Gamaleya Center to conduct a post-registration clinical trial of a coronavirus vaccine.
On the eve of the Deputy Mayor of the capital, Anastasia Rakova, announced that in the near future a small batch of vaccine against coronavirus infection will go to Moscow.
Last week Gunzburg compared the third, post-registration stage of research on the Russian vaccine against coronavirus with mass vaccination, since tens of thousands of people will take part in it.
On August 11, Russia registered the world’s first vaccine against coronavirus infection called Sputnik V.
