On the eve of Victory Day, the Memory of Generations charitable foundation is again launching the Red Carnation, an all-Russian action of gratitude and assistance to the heroes of our country. This action, according to the plan of the organizers, will have to cover 75 regions of our country – including the Kostroma region.
In Kostroma, the badges will be distributed by activists from the Victory Volunteers social movement and members of the Silver Volunteering volunteer movement of the Young at Heart program.
In addition, the badge can be purchased on the websites of retail chains and Russian Post offices, as well as in partner chain stores.
The money received from the sale of “Red Carnation” badges will be used to provide medical assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The Memory of Generations Charitable Foundation will purchase hearing aids, wheelchairs, modern high-tech prostheses and medicines for veterans. In the Kostroma region, 143 veterans and one medical facility can count on help from the Fund.
It is already known that CSKA football players have joined the support of Krasnaya Gvozdika – within the framework of the memorable match of the Russian Premier League, they will enter the field with the symbols of the action, and the match itself on May 9 will begin with a minute of silence.
