The botanical garden of PetrSU, located in Petrozavodsk, on the outskirts of the Solomennoye microdistrict, is again waiting for guests. Unique expositions: here you can get acquainted with the plants that grow in Asia, Europe and North America – freed from the snow shackles and are available for visiting. True, it is necessary to arm yourself with rubber boots or any other waterproof shoes.
Until May 1, the garden will be open to visitors from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the administration building. We remind you that in the botanical garden they are engaged in selection and study the peculiarities of growing certain plants in northern latitudes. The territory on which the garden is located is considered a geological monument, because the rocks around the garden are petrified lava flows of an ancient volcano. The famous “Devil’s chair” also belongs to the botanical garden.
