The arrest of Mikhail Muzraev extended until December 10

Former head of the Volgograd Investigative Committee Mikhail Muzraev will remain within the walls of the detention center for another three months. This was announced today by his lawyer Vladimir Sementsov.

The Lefortovo Court of Moscow decided to extend the arrest of Muzraev until December 10, 2020. Thus, the total period of his imprisonment by the end of these months will be 1.5 years.

According to Muzraev’s lawyer, today’s meeting lasted for several minutes. During his speech at the trial, the arrested man stood firm, quoted by his lawyer “Volgogradskaya Pravda.ru”.

Recall that Mikhail Muzraev is accused of involvement in the arson of the house of Governor Andrei Bocharov. The former head of the Volgograd TFR was detained on June 10, 2019. The crime was committed in November 2016.

Under the article “Terrorist act committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy” Mikhail Muzraev faces up to 20 years in prison.
