In 2020, the Accounts Chamber (JV) revealed violations in the budgetary sphere in the amount of 355 billion rubles, which was the lowest indicator over the past five years. This is stated in the annual report of the department, which is at the disposal of Izvestia.
So, last year, 3898 violations were identified, compared to 2019, this figure has more than halved (4442 cases).
The largest share of violations in the budgetary sphere is in the area of procurement of departments and state-owned companies, where violations in the amount of 109 billion rubles were revealed.
At the same time, the joint venture noted that the volume of identified deviations could be greater, since due to the pandemic in 2020, a significant part of the field inspections had to be postponed.
According to experts, positive trends are related, among other things, to the fact that more government spending last year was directed to the social sphere, where control is much more serious.
