Florida residents recently had the opportunity to show their support for Israel on their car license plates. Governor Ron Desantis has signed legislation authorizing the creation of a special series of license plates on the connection between Florida and Israel.
According to the Florida Politics newspaper, under this law, a state can have nearly three dozen different special numbers. But the new license plates must collect at least three thousand pre-orders to be allowed to be produced. The Israel-American Council has said it will launch a public marketing campaign to achieve this target. An open competition sponsored by the Council and technically coordinated by the sponsoring organization Artists for Israel will lead to a decision on the design of the rooms. The judges will include legislators and community leaders. Part of the proceeds from the sale of such numbers will go to the first aid organization Hatsala.
