This is not the first time that the American rock icon has issued a nod in favor of the former vice president.
In August, he allowed Joe Biden to use the title The Rising to accompany a video montage broadcast on the first day of the Democratic convention.
He has also publicly criticized Donald Trump a lot, calling him a “crook” and “a threat to our democracy”.
In the commercial, which was set to premiere on Saturday, Bruce Springsteen highlights Joe Biden’s roots and his hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania, a key presidential state.
“Scranton, Pennsylvania. Here, success is not given. It is forged with sweat, guts and determination ”, starts the“ Boss ”.
A thinly veiled reference to Donald Trump, whose millionaire father gave him, during his lifetime, a good part of his fortune.
“This place has not left him,” says the 71-year-old rocker. “It’s more than where he’s from, it’s what he’s fighting for.”
The message, which was due to air Saturday night at a college football game, ends with a clip of the track My Hometown, taken from what is arguably Bruce Springsteen’s most famous album, Born in the USA (1984).
