SpaceX’s Falcon 9 launch vehicle has successfully launched another 57 Starlink satellites into orbit, Space.com reports.
In addition to micro-satellites, which are designed to create ultra-fast Internet networks around the planet, the Falcon 9 also carried two BlackSky satellites. For SpaceX, this mission was anniversary, 10 in a row since the beginning of 2019.
In accordance with the project, the Starlink network will launch 11 thousand micro-satellites into orbit to fully cover the Earth with an Internet connection. This will provide even sparsely populated areas with Internet at a speed of 1 GB per second by the end of 2020.
