Pensions for January will be paid ahead of schedule to Russians who receive these payments through post offices from the 1st to the 3rd day of the month. This was announced by Elena Bibikova, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, in an interview with Parlamentskaya Gazeta, published on November 30.
According to her, these citizens will receive pensions at the end of December.
“The amount will come in full – for the entire January,” Bibikova said.
The senator explained that this practice has been in effect for many years.
It is noted that the offices of the Russian Post will start working as usual from January 4.
Earlier, on November 24, Bibikova announced that in 2021 non-working pensioners would have insurance pensions indexed by 6.3%. In addition, from February 2021, war veterans and disabled people of all categories will receive an increase in monthly cash payments, according to preliminary data, by 3.8%.
On November 17, it became known that the State Duma factions intend to again appeal to the country’s President Vladimir Putin on the issue of indexation of payments to working pensioners. This information “Izvestia” was confirmed by the “Fair Russia” and the Communist Party.
