Qualifying competitions for participation in the Final of the VIII National Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) have finished in the Smolensk region. This year, the competitions were held in a distance-in-person format in 84 constituent entities of the Russian Federation in 27 competencies.
Sergei Kuklev, a fourth-year student of the Smolensk Regional Technological Academy, made it to the Finals of the National Championship in the “Electrical Installation” competence. As a member of the Smolensk Region team, he will continue to fight for the right to be called the “best” in the National Championship.
Also in the Final will be attended by representatives of the Smolensk region in the following competencies: “Composite Technologies”, “Manufacturing of Products from Polymer Materials”, “Graphic Design – Juniors”, “Tiling”, “Laboratory and Chemical Analysis” and “Laboratory and Chemical Analysis – Juniors “,” IT-solutions for business on the platform “1C: Enterprise 8”, “Software solutions for business”, “Repair and maintenance of passenger cars”, “Documentation support for management and archiving”, “Designing neural interfaces”.
In the Smolensk region, the qualifying competitions were held in four competencies: “Electrical installation”, “Teaching in elementary grades”, “Preschool education” and “Medical and social care”.
A feature of the Qualifying Competition was the remote-face-to-face format: the performance of the task by the contestants under the supervision of webcams. The assessment of the performance of the competition tasks was carried out remotely at the Competition Management Centers (NCC), which were located on the territory of the co-organizing regions.
