Forbes magazine compiled a list of the richest women in the United States who made their own fortunes. First place was taken by Diana Hendrix, co-founder of roofing company ABC Supply (worth $ 8 billion), followed by Judy Faulkner, who created Epic Systems, a software company for medical organizations ($ 5.5 billion).
In third place was Meg Whitman, who was the CEO of Hewlett-Packard and eBay ($ 5 billion). The list also includes TV presenter Oprah Winfrey ($ 2.6 billion), model Kylie Jenner ($ 700 million), singer Madonna ($ 550 million), Celine Dion ($ 455 million) and Beyoncé ($ 420 million). For the first time, the list includes tennis player Maria Sharapova, who moved to the United States with her family in 1995 and lives in California. She is in 87th place with a capital of $ 200 million. Sharapova earned $ 39 million in prize money at tennis tournaments, the rest she received from advertising contracts and participation in business. Sharapova owns the Sugarpova sweets brand.
