School restored with the help of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Karabakh prepares for the academic year

The first school, restored in the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic with the help of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, is preparing for the return of students, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said on November 29.

The start of the school year and the school line are scheduled for December 1.

“The operational group of the Russian Emergencies Ministry has assisted in the restoration of the secondary school named after Onik Grigoryan for 200 students in the Ivanyan village of the Askeran region. Rescuers, together with representatives of the city administration, helped to restore the glazing and heating systems, “- quoted by TASS.

Rescuers noted that it is still necessary to carry out finishing repairs, arrange desks and restore water supply.

Earlier, two convoys of the Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered more than 300 tons of building materials to Stepanakert as humanitarian aid.

Also on Sunday it became known that the first units of the special medical unit (MOSN) arrived in Karabakh. The units comprise 60 medical specialists, including military surgeons, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, therapists and epidemiologists. The department plans to deploy a specialized medical center, where all the necessary equipment will be installed to provide assistance.

On November 26, the Sepanakert authorities said that during the hostilities that began in late September, half of the buildings in the city were damaged. Russian peacekeepers are helping to rebuild them.

On November 9, Armenia and Azerbaijan, with the mediation of Russia, signed an agreement on the cessation of hostilities. According to the document, Russian peacekeepers went to Nagorno-Karabakh to monitor the ceasefire regime. They will be accommodated for a period of five years with possible extensions.

The military ensures the safety of the local population, helps in finding the missing, and demining the territory of Karabakh.
