The region’s sanitary doctors have issued a memo about a dish of southeastern cuisine, which is in great demand among Saratov residents – rolls and sushi. Fish “delights” are rich in essential trace elements and vitamins for health: potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, iodine, and in addition, vitamins of group B, C, A, K and others.
However, sanitary doctors remind: if the technology for preparing sushi and rolls is violated, as well as the use of expired or low-quality products, there is a risk of poisoning and helminthiases (a disease caused by parasitic worms – helminths). To date, more than three hundred types of helminthiases are known, about two hundred varieties of parasites are capable of infecting the human body (reference “MK in Saratov”).
But this is not the most dangerous thing. According to Rospotrebnadzor experts, a high concentration of salt in soy sauce, which is served with sushi and rolls, together with salted fish products, can lead to the development of hypertension, joint and kidney diseases. In addition, a high concentration of iodine in fish products is fraught with malfunction of the thyroid gland and changes in the level of hormonal levels. In addition, the use of this type of product should be limited in the presence of gastritis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, diabetes mellitus.
The sanitary department reminds: sushi and rolls bought in a store or made on their own can be stored in the refrigerator for no longer than a day. And when buying finished products, you need to pay attention to storage conditions, which must comply with the conditions specified by the manufacturer on the label.
