Elderly residents of Pskov received 170 food sets “To the New Year’s Table” within the framework of the project “Social Living Room: Daytime Leisure and Help for Elderly People – Children of War”. According to the Pskov regional branch of the Red Cross, the set included green peas, sweet corn, canned fruits and berries, canned fish and sweets. The present was presented by a real Santa Claus.
“With enthusiastic mood and gratitude, the elderly people greeted an unexpected fairy-tale guest on the doorstep of their home,” the organizers noted.
“Almost all elderly people from among the project participants need help, and they are waiting for it, hoping not only for a New Year’s miracle, but also for the daily participation of caring people of Pskov in their lives,” the organization added.
