Throughout the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, 63 thousand video cameras have been installed, the lenses of which are aimed at streets, parks, subways, courtyards and entrances of houses. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Yakovlev.
According to the Deputy Minister, online access is possible to 20 thousand video cameras. The rest of the CCTV cameras are under control. If necessary, you can request archives of records from them. So, recordings from cameras installed in residential buildings are stored for seven days. The storage period for recordings from video cameras in public places is 30 days, he said.
For example, in public places in Kazan, 2,000 CCTV cameras work, in residential buildings – 12,000.
