Many Russian women will receive jewelry, cosmetics and gift certificates as a gift on International Women’s Day, which is celebrated on March 8, which coincides with their wishes. This is evidenced by the survey data of the service for posting ads “Avito”, which on March 1 were at the disposal of “RIA Novosti”.
Thus, the majority of survey participants (38%) expressed a desire to receive jewelry for the holiday. Another 30% would appreciate a gift in the form of cosmetics or perfumery. About 27% of Russian women would like to choose a gift in their favorite stores on their own, having received a gift certificate.
In turn, 44% of men plan to give women cosmetics and perfumes, 28% intend to present a gift certificate to their favorite store, 27% of survey participants are ready to give jewelry, the company noted.
According to the service, in preparation for the holiday, the demand for gift certificates this year on the platform increased by 25%, in the case of jewelry, the demand increased by 52%.
At the same time, 17% of women dream of a trip out of town as a gift for a holiday, 15% would choose a ticket, and 10% prefer an interesting book. Only 7% of the survey participants would like to receive dishes as a gift (7%), 2% would be delighted with an alcoholic drink, and only 1% of respondents would like to receive a sum of money.
On the part of men, 71%, according to Avito, plan to spend up to 5 thousand rubles on a gift, of which 15% – up to 1 thousand rubles, 35% – from 1 to 3 thousand rubles. Another 15% of survey participants allocate an amount from 5 to 10 thousand rubles for a gift, and 6% are ready to spend more than 10 thousand rubles.
On February 23, Russian men wished to receive gadgets, clothes and money as a gift, but most of the women presented cosmetics, socks or underwear for Defender of the Fatherland Day.
