The development of water supply systems for the lunar base and the interplanetary space station will begin in Russia This is stated in the decision of the scientific council of the Scientific Research and Design Institute of Chemical Engineering (NIIkhimmash)
The project will start with the creation of water supply systems for promising objects of the lunar program in the period from 2022 to 2025. Further work will begin on the development of an orbital station, a landing complex, a lunar base, and an interplanetary space station. As a result, equipment layouts will be provided.
The final decision on these issues will be made at the end of April 2021 at an expanded scientific and technical council with the involvement of customers from the rocket and space industry.
