In Russia, a system has been developed for the landing of service dogs. This was announced on August 26 in an interview with TASS by the general director of the Tekhnodinamika holding (part of Rostec) Igor Nasenkov.
“A harness for dogs has been developed, which is used in conjunction with special-purpose parachute systems. It was handed over for state tests to the State Flight Test Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The planned completion date is December 2021, ”he said.
In addition, the Tekhnodinamika concern is working on the creation of a parachute system for landing cargo weighing up to 18 tons – Parachute. Within the framework of the state defense order, two experimental design works are underway – the ROC “Gorizontal-4000” and the ROC “Parachute”.
“Gorizontal-4000” involves the development of a guided gliding parachute system for high-precision landing of special cargo with a flight weight of up to 4000 kg. In addition, Technodinamika is working on the creation of a robotic cargo parachute system.
“A robotic parachute system for the delivery of goods by air with a carrying capacity of up to 250 kg <…> will automatically deliver various goods to the destination area. Our specialists prepare working design documentation and coordinate test programs and methods with the State Flight Test Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The planned completion date is December 2021, ”Nasenkov said.
Earlier, on February 5, Nasenkov said that “Chance” parachutes for the evacuation of people from skyscrapers in case of emergency are going to be sold abroad.
