Currently, more than 245 thousand Russians are under medical supervision due to suspicions of the presence of coronavirus. This was announced on Thursday, August 6, by the press service of Rospotrebnadzor.
“245,379 people remain under medical supervision in the Russian Federation,” TASS was quoted as saying.
It is noted that over the past day, 283 thousand tests were done for the presence of coronavirus, in total, 29.7 million tests were carried out in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.
On the eve it became known that in the Moscow airports Vnukovo and Domodedovo within a week they will launch an express testing service for the presence of coronavirus. The test results will be issued in Russian and English.
The spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes the COVID-19 disease, began at the end of December last year. The Chinese city of Wuhan became the hotbed of infection. For several months, the disease has spread to more than 210 countries of the world. On March 11, WHO announced a coronavirus pandemic.
According to the latest data, in Russia the total number of detected cases of COVID-19 has reached 866 627 people, 14 490 patients have died, 669 026 have recovered.
