Rospotrebnadzor has prepared recommendations for parents on the choice of school uniforms for children. This was reported on the agency’s website on Tuesday, August 11.
According to experts, clothes made of cotton and linen are suitable for autumn and spring, and for winter it is better to buy clothes made of cashmere and wool, writes REGNUM. It is clarified that the uniform with the content of synthetic fibers is cheaper, but the skin does not breathe in such clothes. The experts noted that when wearing synthetic clothing, heat exchange is also disturbed, which makes the child sweat, and this can already lead to hypothermia. Synthetics also contribute to the accumulation of static electricity, which affects the child’s nervous system, causing irritation and fatigue, writes the site kp.ru.
School uniforms should form a comfortable microclimate for the child’s clothing space – humidity, airtightness and body temperature. It should not have a strong or unpleasant odor. Such characteristics may indicate the content of harmful chemicals that were used when dyeing the fabric.
The department recalled the need to choose the right size for school uniforms and make sure that the child feels comfortable in it. An improperly selected suit can cause skin diseases (contact and atopic dermatitis), as well as colds (flu), the Zvezda TV channel notes.
