The initiative group of the Caspian residents met with the Head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasiliev. This was reported by the press service of the AGP. Over the past year, local residents have actively sought to preserve the Trud stadium, which was once popular with the townspeople. The question about this arose against the background of information that the owner of the sports arena plant “Dagdizel” sells siadion. Rumors immediately spread in the city that enterprising developers would raise high-rise buildings on the site of the spacious stadium. And at a meeting with the activists of the “Kaspiysk is our city” movement, Vasiliev announced the news that the government of the republic would buy the stadium from the plant. According to him, the issue will be resolved by the end of August. “This is already a people’s stadium and no business will grab it,” the head of the republic summed up.
