Resident of Michurinsky district accused of attempted murder

A resident of the Michurinsky district will face trial on charges of attempted murder, the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tambov Region reports. The Interdistrict Investigation Department has completed an investigation into a 28-year-old local resident accused of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder) and clause “c” part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of minor harm to health).

According to the investigation, on January 29, 2021, the accused was resting with friends at his home. One of those present turned on loud music, which did not like the mother living in the same house. She asked to turn off the music, because she interferes with an elderly grandmother, who also lives in this area. However, the guest was outraged by the woman’s remark, and in response he insulted her. The accused reacted to this, grabbed a knife and hit the abuser in the mother’s chest. He was stopped by the woman’s roommate, however, he received a wooden chair on the head from the accused. The injured 25-year-old victim was treated in a timely manner, he survived.

The investigation has collected a sufficient evidence base and sends the case to the court for consideration on the merits.
