Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived on a working trip to the city of Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod region, where he intends to visit the key enterprise of the country’s nuclear industry – the Russian Federal Nuclear Center – All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics, Russia-24 reports.
Earlier, Putin canceled the trip due to bad weather. Now Putin intends to meet with the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin and visit the nuclear center. Many meetings will be closed due to the specifics of the city and the nuclear industry.
Also, Putin intends to hear by videoconference the report of the head of Rosatom Alexei Likhachev on the situation in Usolye-Sibirskoye of the Irkutsk region, where an emergency regime has been in effect since 2018 due to the leakage of toxic substances at the Usoliekhimprom enterprise.
