The municipality of Pskov is inviting to join the public discussion of the draft Strategy for the development of the city of Pskov until 2030.
The draft Strategy was developed by the staff of the North-West Institute of Management, a branch of the RANEPA.
The first stage of the implementation of the Strategy from 2021 to 2023 will be associated with the elimination of the consequences of restrictive measures to combat coronavirus infection, the stabilization of the financial and economic situation of the city of Pskov and the normalization of its social life. It is assumed that the municipal and transport infrastructure of the city will receive investment support, and they will also focus on projects to increase the tourist attractiveness of the city.
It is expected that at the second stage from 2024 to 2026, new jobs created during the implementation of investment projects will provide an influx of qualified personnel, which means that the trade and services sector will revive. A set of measures to create a favorable urban environment and the introduction of sustainable development principles into the urban management system should have a positive impact on the environmental situation in Pskov.
According to the plan, at the third stage, from 2027 to 2030, comfortable living and working conditions in the city will provide an influx of population, and the modernization of urban infrastructure will create conditions for the development of local industries. At the same time, the tourism industry by that time will become a driver for the development of the municipal economy.
Suggestions and comments on the draft Strategy can be sent to the municipality until October 16.
