The protests in Beirut did not affect the work of Russian rescuers and doctors who arrived in the Lebanese capital, the operational headquarters said.

The safety of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is provided by more than 50 soldiers and officers of the Lebanese army, armed with armored vehicles, writes TASS on Saturday, August 8.

The explosion in the port area in the Lebanese capital occurred on 4 August. Detonated 2.7 tons of ammonium nitrate during welding. The facades of dozens of buildings were destroyed and damaged. According to seismologists, the power of the explosion was comparable to that of an earthquake of magnitude 4.5.
