The head of the US Department of Defense Power Transfer Task Force, Thomas Muir, said he met with Democrat Joe Biden’s team to discuss the transfer of power, CNN told CNN on Tuesday November 24.
According to Muir, the head of Biden’s transition team contacted him the day before, they had an e-mail correspondence, and on Tuesday morning they met in person.

Earlier on the same day, it became known that the Pentagon was starting to implement measures to transfer power to the new administration.
Also on Tuesday, the states of Pennsylvania and Nevada officially announced Biden’s victory in their territories following the results of the presidential elections.
The US general election was held on November 3. According to the latest data, Biden is ahead of the incumbent Republican President Donald Trump in the number of American votes and in the number of electoral votes.
The Democrat’s team has already announced his victory in the elections. Trump on November 24 allowed his administration to begin the process of transferring power in the country to the candidate from the Democratic Party, but noted that he did not admit defeat yet, and also promised new lawsuits.
