In Astrakhan, the municipal authorities continue to renovate one of the central thoroughfares of the city – Anri Barbusse Street. The work is being carried out within the framework of the national project “Safe and High-Quality Roads”.

The contractor started putting in order the busy highway in October last year. And by now, most of the work has already been completed. So, for example, the road workers completely laid the lower leveling layer of asphalt concrete pavement. Now workers are equipping footpaths with tiles. 11 out of 13 thousand square meters have already been laid. According to the contract, works at the facility should be completed this summer. However, the contractor plans to complete the work ahead of schedule. “Today, it remains to lay about 5% of the top layer of asphalt concrete pavement and about 10% of the total volume needs to be equipped with a tiled surface. After that, it remains to install the railings and apply the markings, ”said Artemy Vinogradov, leading engineer of the transport infrastructure development department of the Capital Construction and Improvement Administration of the City of Astrakhan municipal administration.

Also this year, the city authorities will carry out major repairs at a dozen more facilities. Among them are the streets of Avgustovskaya, Markin, Yuri Selensky, Maksakova, Esplanadnaya, Maxim Gorky, Academician Korolev, 5th Kerchenskaya, Kapitan Krasnov, Alexandrov. Studencheskaya, 4th Chernigovskaya and Slavyanskaya streets will be partially put in order.
