The lawyer of the actor Mikhail Efremov Elman Pashayev appealed to the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov with a request for protection in connection with the threats coming to him. About this on Monday, August 24, writes TASS with reference to a document, a copy of which is at the disposal of the agency.
“They put pressure on me, I constantly receive threats and demands to stop protecting Mikhail Olegovich Efremov. <...> Currently, as I learned from several acquaintances and from the Internet, several dummies have filed statements with law enforcement agencies about bringing me to criminal responsibility, ”the lawyer writes.
Pashayev asked the head of the supervisory authority to conduct an inspection on the facts set out in the statement, as well as notify about its results.
On August 21, at a court session, Efremov announced the change of his lawyer, since the court is biased towards his current representatives. The artist expressed a desire to keep Pashayev as a consultant, but to turn to “someone stronger” – for example, Genrikh Padva or Henry Reznik.
On August 24, Pashayev said that he had entered into a new agreement with Efremov to protect the artist in a criminal case of a fatal accident with his participation.
On June 8, Yefremov’s car drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Lada driven by the online store courier Sergei Zakharov, who later died in hospital. Now the actor is under house arrest, he faces from five to 12 years in prison.
