Parishioners of the Church of Cosmas and Damian of Assiysk on Maroseyka Street near the Belarusian Embassy in Moscow complained about the protesters near the embassy building. It was reported on August 12 by REN TV.

According to them, people violate the rules of sanitation. So, the gathered litter, drink alcohol and even relieve themselves at the fence of the church.

As previously reported, the police detained at least five people near the building of the Belarusian embassy.

Actions near the building of the Belarusian diplomatic mission are being held for the fourth day in a row. People do not agree with the results of the presidential elections in Belarus. The day before, the protest action ended without incident. About 400 people gathered at the building.

On August 9, presidential elections were held in Belarus. According to the latest data from the Central Election Commission, the incumbent head of state Alexander Lukashenko won 80.08% of the vote, opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya was supported by 10.09% of voters. Tikhanovskaya’s headquarters did not recognize the results of the vote.

After the announcement of the preliminary results, unauthorized protests began in Minsk and other cities of Belarus, which have been going on for several days. Both civilians and security officials suffered, one person died.
