Today, July 31, devout Muslims around the world, including the Tula region, celebrate Eid al-Adha.
This is a feast of sacrifice, which is celebrated for three days. Eid al-Adha is based on a legend from the Koran, which in many respects repeats the biblical parable of Abraham and this son. The angel Jabrail appeared in a dream to the prophet Ibrahim and conveyed the command of Allah to sacrifice his son Ismail. Ibrahim and Ismail went to where Mecca is now to make a sacrifice. Making sure that Ibrahim passed the test, Allah sent him a ram, which he became a victim.
In Tula, the festive prayer will take place in the house of the imam of the Tula region, Rishat Davydov. Due to coronavirus restrictions, only a limited number of elders will participate this time. The prayer will take place in the open air, in compliance with all sanitary standards.
As Rishat Davydov told MK in Tula, earlier volunteers raised money and bought meat for poor Tula. On the day of the sacrifice, with special attention to others and those in need, volunteers will deliver food to them.
“During the period of coronavirus, many lost their jobs, the financial situation of Tula people worsened. Therefore, we as a community made a decision on such assistance. On this very important holiday for us, I wish all Tula people and guests of our area health and well-being ”, – said Rishat Ziyatdinovich.
