According to the Politico newspaper, well-informed sources claim that the Assistant to the President for National Security of the United States, Robert O’Brien, was forced to interrupt his official visit to European countries due to a massive cyberattack on American government institutions, allegedly behind Russia.
It is specified that in connection with this state of emergency O’Brien was forced to return from Paris to Washington on December 15. The adviser is currently coordinating the response against the backdrop of massive cyberattacks against the State Department, the Pentagon, and the Ministries of Commerce, Finance and Homeland Security.
