North Ossetia joined the all-Russian campaign “Save the Forest”

The “Save the Forest” campaign continues its march across the country and has reached North Ossetia. Today, October 8, the central event of the region took place in the village of Zamankul, on the territory of the Kirov forestry. The event was attended by about 350 people. Employees of organizations, departments, volunteers, and the media have joined the forestry staff. The team of the ONF Youth in North Ossetia-Alania, the activists of the All-Russian Popular Front in North Ossetia, teachers of the Berezka kindergarten from the city of Beslan, students, volunteers, and journalists could not stand aside.

During the event, the participants planted 70 thousand oak seedlings. In total, as noted by the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic Kazbek Doev, this year the foresters of North Ossetia have planned to plant 280 thousand trees.

“Today’s action is a great opportunity for everyone, not only in words, but also in deeds, to demonstrate how important it is to preserve natural resources,” said Kazbek Doev. – We thank all the volunteers for their participation in the reforestation campaign. We are glad that new organizations join us every year. Thank you for your indifference to the forest and your enthusiasm! “

The all-Russian campaign “Save the Forest” started on August 26 in Kamchatka. The goal of the campaign is to plant 40 million trees across the country. To date, 23.9 million have already been planted. In the coming days, Lipetsk and Belgorod regions, as well as the Republic of Chuvashia, will join the action.
