Earlier, on December 13, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at an expanded meeting of the Security Council that the arrival of Russian peacekeepers in the Hadrut region of Nagorno-Karabakh helped prevent further hostilities in this territory.

On the same day, the commander of the Russian military contingent of peacekeeping forces in the conflict zone, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, said that the situation in the region had normalized thanks to the efforts of the Russian military.

The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the first case of violation of the ceasefire regime occurred in the Hadrut region since the end of hostilities and the beginning of Russia’s peacekeeping operation in Karabakh.

The next day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that no cases of violation of the ceasefire regime in Karabakh were recorded.
