Today, on the Day of the Athlete, a low-budget sports complex began to operate in a village in the village of Verkhnebakansky near Novorossiysk. The base was built according to the state program “Development of physical culture and sports”. This is the twentieth low-budget sports car opened in the Kuban within the framework of state support.

Deputy head of the Kuban Sergey Pulikovsky came to the grand opening. In addition, the event was attended by the chairman of the regional Olympic Council Irina Karavaeva, the head of the regional ministry of sports Alexei Chernov and the mayor of Novorossiysk Igor Dyachenko.

– For such small settlements as Verkhnebakansky, such a sports complex is very important. There is an instruction from the President to increase the number of citizens involved in sports to 70%. We must provide all residents of the region with such an opportunity, provide the necessary conditions, – said Sergei Pulikovsky.

The construction of the facility started in September 2019. The budget amounted to 48.8 million rubles, of which 30 million came from the regional treasury.

The complex is equipped with sports equipment for mini-football, basketball, volleyball, and you can also practice all types of martial arts.

Let us recall that the state program “Development of Physical Culture and Sports” was approved by the decree of the Government of Russia in 2014. Among the main goals is the creation of conditions for systematic sports.
