As the man noted, he confessed to the murder in the hope that the criminal case against him would be qualified under the article “Murder by negligence.” Zemchenkov noted that he expected to receive a sentence of saw imprisonment for a term of no more than two years.

“Nobody told me that the statute of limitations for Article 109 has long passed. In comparison with the threat of excommunication from the family for up to 15 years, I considered the above punishment insignificant, ”he said.

In addition, the accused stated that he was allegedly under pressure.

In addition, according to REN TV, the former detective, who looked through the cameras at the entrance of the house where the Zemchenkovs lived, stated that the wife of the nephrologist did not leave the entrance on the day of her disappearance.
