The leader in the number of infected remains the United States, where over the entire time of the pandemic, 27 million 490 thousand 37 infected with COVID-19 were detected. India ranks second. In this country, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus amounted to 10 million 892 thousand 746. Brazil is in third place. There, for the entire time of the pandemic, 9 million 765 thousand 455 people were infected.

Earlier, on February 12, the head physician of the Filatov Moscow Clinical Hospital No. 15, Associate Professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1 of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Valery Vechorko, said that in 2021 there are two possible scenarios for the development of the situation with the spread of coronavirus.

First, the pandemic will end soon.
