Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order approving an action plan to increase the employment rate of people with disabilities for 2021-2024. The corresponding document appeared on October 16 on the Internet portal of legal information.

“To approve the proposed action plan to increase the employment rate of disabled people for 2021-2024,” the order says.

The plan, in particular, envisages the development of remote forms of interaction between the employment service and persons with disabilities, the approval of target indicators for the employment of persons with disabilities and ensuring their achievement.

At the end of September, it became known that the Ministry of Labor plans to extend the absentee procedure for re-examination of disability introduced due to coronavirus until March 1, 2021.

In August, Izvestia reported that a bill was submitted to the State Duma to increase the monthly payment for unemployed Russians who care for disabled people of group I. At the moment, this benefit is 1.2 thousand rubles a month. The deputies proposed to increase this amount to 10 thousand rubles.
