State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov said that officials fly in business class in order to sleep on the way. On August 8 he told about this to the channel “360”.
“This is the only opportunity for an official of this level to sleep. He sleeps there. Okay, let’s put him at the toilet, who will be better from this, that he will fly to Moscow and will not solve anything, because he will be completely broken, “Milonov said.
The deputy noted that a tourist trip implies an opportunity to come to a place of rest and sleep off. According to him, officials often do not have such an opportunity, since they arrive for a day and then fly to the city in a different time zone.
“We want them to work. I would deliberately not do any strictness for these people who need to fly far, “Milonov added.
The deputy touched upon the topic of flights of officials in connection with the media reports that appeared that the acting governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Mikhail Degtyarev, allegedly signed a decree on payment of business trips for officials at business class rates. Degtyarev himself denied this information and explained that he had signed the document on the flights of officials only in economy class.
Degtyarev’s predecessor Sergey Furgal imposed a ban on business class flights for officials.
