It is noted that the military regularly take tests for COVID-19 and undergo other examinations in a unique field laboratory. The head of the laboratory, Alexei Muravyov, said that its uniqueness lies in the fact that the structure almost completely repeats the structure of stationary biological laboratories with the maximum level of protection.
In addition, the base stressed that the first test for coronavirus is military personnel who are sent to Syria. They are handed over immediately before departure, and at the airbase itself, specialists of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops are the first to meet them.
In addition, the arrivals are greeted by doctors who measure the temperature of everyone and treat exposed areas of the body, clothing and personal belongings with a disinfectant solution. After that, the servicemen are sent to take another express analysis.
The results are ready almost immediately. Such measures make it possible to quickly check entire divisions. All personnel of the airbase take PCR tests regularly. In addition, in addition to regular testing, Khmeimim has a strict mask regime.
