Military doctors of the special purpose medical units (MOSN) of the Black Sea Fleet and the Southern Military District continue to provide assistance in the fight against COVID-19 to the residents of Crimea in Yalta and Simferopol. This was announced on Wednesday, January 13, at the RF Ministry of Defense.

“Every day, more than 40 residents turn to military doctors for help. All citizens who have applied receive consultations, appointments, and, if necessary, continue treatment in the hospital, ”the department said, adding that more than 500 people in Crimea have already received consultative and diagnostic assistance from military doctors.

Earlier, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, requested the deployment of 200-bed hospitals in Yalta and Simferopol to fight the coronavirus. In accordance with the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces Vladimir Putin and the decision of the head of the Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu, two mobile hospitals of the Russian Defense Ministry were deployed there.

According to the latest data, COVID-19 was confirmed in Crimea in 27,967 people, 605 people died.
