Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that recently the conflict in eastern Ukraine has been artificially aggravated. In particular, for the sake of this, new sanctions were introduced against Russia, military equipment was transferred to the region, and so on.

At the same time, Medvedev recalled that first President Joe Biden called Russian President Vladimir Putin to offer to establish a dialogue, and then another wave of anti-Russian hysteria arose in the West with the expulsion of diplomats, the signing of decrees on the Russian threat, and so on.

We will remind that the aggravation in Donbass began at the end of February, although in January observers noted that nothing remained of the ceasefire, which lasted almost six months. A new escalation of the conflict led to the return to combat positions of the participants in the conflict.
