The authorities of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk have decided to resume the issuance of free medical masks to passengers of the buses of the Transport Company MUP. The reason is the unfavorable epidemiological situation due to the coronavirus.
According to IA SakhalinMedia, up to 15 thousand free masks are issued every day for flights in case passengers do not have personal protective equipment with them. First of all, masks are intended for the elderly, pregnant women, children and people with disabilities. Other passengers, depending on the situation, can also receive a free mask.
However, the city administration warned that the supply of masks for the flight is limited, and asked not to come into conflict with the driver or conductor if the masks ran out.
The MUP Transport Company, in turn, assured that they daily carry out a full range of preventive measures to prevent the spread of infection. We are talking about daily disinfection of buses, control of the presence of dispensers with antiseptics in the cabin, provision of personal protective equipment for drivers and conductors.
On October 8, the Kremlin called for the internal mobilization of every citizen of the country. According to the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, the statistics of the daily increase in new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia is a cause for serious concern.
