March 27: 20,472 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Germany, 157 deaths per day

On March 27, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports 20,472 new infections, slightly less than the previous day (21,573). There were 157 corona deaths per day. The nationwide 7-day incidence rose to 124.1. Only in three lands this figure is below 100. Currently, 3260 patients are undergoing intensive therapy. More than 8.3 million people in Germany have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,755,225 cases of the virus have been identified in Germany. Thus, in comparison with the previous day, the number of patients increased by 20.472. In total, 75,780 people have died as a result of the Covid-19 disease since the start of the pandemic.

The data is based on a statement by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), which receives information from the regional health authorities in Germany. They provide updated information several times a day.
