President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon on August 6 that neither he nor his children would ever leave the country. The broadcast is conducted on Thursday by the Internet edition “Gordon”.

“There is idle talk that Lukashenka will have to run away. Lukashenka will never run anywhere. And my kids won’t run anywhere. This is my peculiarity, ”he said.

According to Lukashenka, “those who have full pockets are running.” Speaking about Moscow, he noted that without money in this city “there is nothing to do”, and he has no money to escape and live, like, for example, the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

The Belarusian leader noted that the lack of money is not the main factor in such a decision. His beliefs remain the main thing for him.

The President of Belarus has three sons: Victor (44 years old), Dmitry (40 years old) and Nikolai (15 years old).

Yanukovych left Ukraine in February 2014, after a coup in the country. At home, he was accused of usurpation of power. In May 2020, the Pechersk District Court of Kiev arrested him in absentia.
