President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon said that Vladimir Putin will leave the post of President of Russia until 2036.
In his opinion, the Russian leader will find himself a worthy successor who will continue the path of Russia’s development.
“Putin will not hold on to power with his blue hands. He will find an option for people or a person to come to power who will continue the path of development of Russia, which is now, ”Lukashenko said in an interview published on Thursday, August 6, on YouTube.
Also in an interview with Gordon, the Belarusian leader admitted that he perceives Putin as an older brother who should support and suggest.
At the same time, Lukashenka noted that at present there is tension in relations with the head of Russia, because they are “both strong personalities.”
Lukashenko gave an interview to Gordon ahead of the upcoming August 9 presidential elections in the country.
